DESCRIPTION

The owner of this HJ Holden wanted it returned to its former glory, with a few upgrades along the way.

The body showed signs of age with bubbles forming underneath the paint. Overall a good tidy project to start a restoration.

The body was dismantled and all parts were documented, labelled and stored before the body was put on a rotisserie in preparation of sandblasting.

Sandblasting revealed rust in the usual areas such as the sills, the floor and rear quarters. As part of the rust repairs, lead was removed so as not to affect the paint and preparation process of modern paint systems.

After metal and bodywork, the re-built sub-frame was mated to the body and work commenced fitting all new or re-built components. An alarm and immobiliser was installed as part of the final fit-out.
