The 1955 Chevy Pickup panels came back from the sandblaster late Thursday. They were immediately given a coat of etch primer to protect the bare metal surfaces.
On Friday, Roland our rust repair guru, inspected the panels and marked the areas requiring repair (see the first photo). As always seems to be the case, the rust and accident damage was worse than was expected based on the initial inspection.
After discussions with our customer, it was decided to buy two new rear guards as this would be more cost effective than repairing them. The repairs on the remaining damage commenced this morning and most should be knocked over by tomorrow.
