While on the topic of custom exhausts, I thought I would share some photos of a custom exhaust currently being fabricated by Adam for our XE Falcon build.
As you can see, the exhaust's three dimensional shape is formed by cutting and welding together multiple pipe sections. These sections are tacked together under the car to ensure perfect placement. The tacks are then replaced by permanent welds. Believe me when I say it looks a lot easier than it is.
Although we typically use third party headers when available, we do fabricate custom headers in-house if necessary e.g. where space is limited in the engine bay or to avoid clashes with other components.
We are proud of our custom exhausts and consider each a work of art. Accordingly, we attach our signature to each exhaust in the form of a discretely placed, laser engraved metal plaque (see photo below).
