Even after modification of the strut towers, there still isn't much room for Craig (aka Jackie) to run the custom headers on our XY Falcon build.
Adding to the complexity is the requirement for each header pipe to be a specific length from the engine to the collector i.e. the tuned length (approximately 31 inches in this case). If they are not the correct length, the result is inefficient exhaust air flow which directly translates into a loss of power.
So the pipes have to be run in such a way that when they meet at the collector they are all the same length, even though they start at different points. So that is why headers look like they have been designed by a mad man!
It will be interesting to see what Jackie comes up with to solve this puzzle. I will share some photos with you when he is done.
