Many months ago we prepped and painted the engine bay, boot and underside of our 1971 VH Charger R/T. We also rebuilt the Hemi 265 engine.
As customer cars always get priority the Charger had to be put into storage. But last week Rob found some time to finish blocking the body and panels. He also got all the panels into paint and the body is masked up and in the booth ready for painting first thing tomorrow.
But paint is only half the story in this case. The painted panels will be put back on the body. The car will then be blocked back again ready for the iconic R/T stripes and decals to be added. A few coats of clear and a good buff will finish the job.
I will share some photos as we go through this process.
