Last Friday we received seven cars and a bike from the US. But with so much happening at Ol' School Garage that I haven't had a chance to share any photos of our new arrivals.
So let me start with my personal favourite. I found this 1950 Chevy Bel Air advertised for sale in Orange County. It tweaked my interest because its original 6-cylinder engine had been replaced with a Chevy 327 small block and coupled with a T350 transmission.
So I asked Miki, our LA-based buyer to inspect it for me to make sure the engine transplant had been done professionally. Miki obviously gave it the thumbs up.
The car still needs a bit of work. For example, all the side glass and door/window mechs are in the boot. It also needs a headliner, carpet and door cards. But such things don't phase a bloke that has his own car restoration workshop full of talented tradesmen!
This car is just so cool. I can't wait to get it ready for sale. I think I will have to take my time test driving it.
